I’m happy to announce the planting of two new CRC churches in Richmond, Va. and in Newport News, Va. CRC Richmond and CRC Peninsula, respectively will be led by Brian Gullins and Ray Johnson. Both of these young men have been connected to CRC and to me for many years and carry a God given passion for these regions.

Brian’s background in political science and ministry make him an excellent man to lead the capital of Richmond into a revival both spiritually and socially. With a heart for government, education and strong families, Brian is committed to developing a ministry where people can both receive God’s word, worship with others and find their purpose in life.

Ray has been a proponent for spiritual and social change on the Peninsula since he was a teen-ager. Working diligently as a youth pastor, entrepreneur and activist he has established a reputation for bringing change. Ray’s love for people, willingness to cast radical vision and ability to teach will help the people of the Peninsula find life in the Word and fulfillment in serving God and their communities.

Ray and Brian join Pastor Harold McPherson (CRC Suffolk) and Pastor Carlton McLeod (CRC Chesapeake) as the fourth and fifth CRC churches in the region.

This is an exciting time for all of us in the CRC family and beyond. Please pray for Pastor Brian and Lady Angeline Gullins and for Pastor Ray and Lady Nakia Johnson, that God will use them to serve His people and reach people who have not discovered life in Christ Jesus.

B Courtney McBath, D. Min.
