Pastor Raymond J. Johnson, a Hampton Roads native, is husband to Nakia Johnson. He is also the father of four beautiful daughters ages 5-13.
Education and life long learning is among Pastor Johnson’s greatest continuums. He earned a Bachelors degree in Business and Economics from the University of Maine. He holds a joint Master's degree on the graduate level an MBA and Master of Arts in Law and Public Policy from Regent University. He has also completed his Master's of Divinity and is presently pursing his Doctor of Ministry in African-American Church Leadership, from Fuller Theological Seminary.
Pastor Johnson is the founder and President of Dominion Community Development Corporation, a HUD approved community housing development organization. The organization has previously served the cities of Newport News and Hampton with a vision to serve the Hampton Roads region. Pastor Johnson is also co-founder of Dominion Ministries, an entity that provides evangelism and outreach teaching of empowerment to broken people. This ministry helps them overcome while learning to live above present economic, social, and spiritual impoverishment.
As a Spiritual Leader, Pastor Johnson served among the staff Pastors at Calvary Revival Church in Norfolk Virginia under the tutelage of Bishop B. Courtney McBath. Some of his past ministry assignments have included Bible Teaching and Coaching Women’s Varsity Basket Ball. Pastor Johnson has previously served the body of Christ as youth pastor, elder, and church administrator. Currently he is the Senior Pastor of Calvary Revival Church-Peninsula. Pastor Johnson brings over 26 years of salvation experience to the Body of Christ. Called to preach the gospel at age 12, after receiving Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior at age 9, Pastor Johnson is a second generation Pastor.
Leadership and serving people is not foreign to Pastor Johnson. He has served on Virginia’s Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Commission and the Family Foundation’s Pastors for Family Values. He is a Hampton Roads Urban League 2010 decade MLK award recipient and currently a co-facilitator of the Hampton Minister’s Conference Church Leadership Development Academy.
